BOLIVIA: Kirchner and Morales seal imprecise gas deal

"Being president is about doing good business for Bolivia and we have started to do that." That was how President Evo Morales described the natural gas agreement he signed with his Argentine counterpart Néstor Kirchner in Santa Cruz on 19 October. Under the deal Bolivia agreed to triple its sales of gas to Argentina to 27.7m cubic metres (m ³) daily over the next 20 years when Argentina's northeastern pipeline comes onstream.
